“I’ve tried the other freight services and quite frankly I’ve been burned. That has never happened on The Internet Truckstop!” -Suzi Doran
Meet John and Suzi Doran. This team-driving, owner-operator couple has been operating their company, J. D. Trucking, successfully for the past three years. “We pride ourselves on meeting and exceeding our customers needs” says Suzi.
A large part of what makes their business successful is their relationship with The Internet Truckstop. When asked about finding freight Suzi said, “We built our business using The Internet Truckstop. I post our truck and the calls come in. I never have to search for freight once I’ve posted our truck. I’ve tried the other freight services and quite frankly I’ve been burned. That has never happened on The Internet Truckstop. Their Customer Service people are the greatest! They’re always friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.”

The Doran’s are very clear about their likes, “No two days are ever alike. Sure it’s hard work and the days can be long but the rewards are well worth the efforts and the rewards are not only financial. We take pride in doing a job well and our customers are the greatest.” They are very clear about their dislikes as well, “We really have only one [dislike]… poor drivers!”
John and Suzi are both veteran drivers: John with sixteen years and Suzi with twelve. They love the freedom and challenges of the road. Prior to owning their first truck they drove as a team for a number of private carriers. Suzi worked as a retail sales representative before teaming up with John. “The job was fine but I felt there’s more to this work life than sitting behind a desk.”
John and Suzi cover the lower 48 in their 2001 Peterbilt with a 600 CAT hauling specialized food and produce in a reefer. Their main runs form a triangle from California to the Southwest to the Midwest and back. “We love our job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.” |
